AIDS does affect women, too. Most of us know that now, but we need to stay aware and informed. The site, TheWellProject.org, shows a daily counter of how many women have been diagnosed HIV positive. The number is nearing 4 million.
Marianne Williamson, best-selling author of ?A Return to Love,? and her latest book, ?The Gift of Change,? has spoken often about AIDS and the opportunities for healing and self-love it can bring. She used to run The Center for Living in New York. Note the positive name. Not the Center for Dying, no, but the Center for Living. She and her volunteers and staff worked hard for many years to provide counseling to those diagnosed with AIDS. As of this writing, neither her center in New York nor California seems to be in existence, but you can still find Marianne?s support and encouragement through her recordings and books on Amazon.com.
Many well-known teachers and lecturers have offered positive encouragement to those with AIDS, including Louise Hay, who healed herself of vaginal cancer, and has produced both books and recordings on dealing with AIDS.

Local farmer is cream of crop at county dairy championship

THE Pembrokeshire County Show, held over three days excelled in the quality of livestock with an overall Carmarthen farmer scooping the dairy championship.
Winner Elwyn Thomas, of Carmarthen, said: “The facilities offered to accommodate and show prize-winning cattle cannot be faulted — they’re equal to the best which we might expect anywhere.”
Held under the presidency of David Roach, a building contractor with a passion for breeding Welsh Mountain ponies, the attendance was marred by adverse weather on the last day.
“We can still count on an attendance of approaching 90,000,” said Mr Roach.
Ladies’ Day on the Wednesday, led by Judy Roach, included fundraising activities for a local charity.
Benefited Several other charities benefited with a barbecue arranged for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution and the young farmers putting in a major effort for Kidney Research Wales.
Conversation among farmers centred on the likely increase in the cost of animal feed over the coming winter, not due to a bad harvest in the UK, but caused by growing conditions that have prevailed, particularly in Russia and Canada.
The inevitable introduction, despite EU intervention, of genetically modified diseaseresistant crop species was also talked about.
In the showing ring, best from almost 1,000 horse and pony entries was given to local Section An enthusiast, Pat Owen, with her six-year-old home-bred grey mare, Syfynwy Waterfall.

But there is an intersting twist in this market.
The number of homes sold through October 2006 is down 23% from last year, while there is currently a 13 month supply of homes on the market. This has lead to a drop in home prices, as evidenced by the drop in per square foot sold price since the end of 2005 (see Charts at Web site below).
Despite this drop in home prices, the average price of a home sold has increased slightly over 2005. In fact, the average price of a home sold in the area is up about 0.7% from last year. This is perplexing! The price of a home is dropping but the average price of a home being bought is increasing.
If the major problem in the New Hampshire housing market is that homes have become unaffordable and the prices of homes are falling due to lower demand then one would expect that the average price of a home sold would fall as well. Instead, the average price of a home sold has clearly increased. This is an indication that many buyers have the means to buy a home and are willing to spend that money to get the home they want.
